Security Sphere 2012 is the “new kid on the block” in the rogue spyware family to hit the scene.  It is spreading at an alarming rate with the help of hacked web sites, exploits, and fake online scanners that attempt to install the program onto your computer without your knowledge or permission.  Once it has installed itself onto your system it will attempt to hold it hostage using fake virus alerts and scans.  Do not be tricked, the only virus your computer probably has is Security Sphere 2012.

1: Reset your Internet Explorer proxy settings.

  • Under “Tools” in the browser tool bar select “Internet Options”.
